Ashram – a tribal school at shantivan since 1994, for the uplift of tribal villagers steeped in poverty, Ignorance & blind beliefs, to b ring them at per with educated citizens.

Description

At present, the school has 450 residential students from Grades 1 to 10. These children have the unique distinction of being the first generation to attend school. 215 boys and 235 girls stay on campus and are provided basic amenities and utilities.

To impart holistic education, a clean and green environment, and hygienic conditions – the following facilities have been provided to our children: well-maintained hostels for boys and girls with attached toilets, a multi-purpose dining hall for 500 students to eat nutritious meals together and for holding various events and programs, Computer Language Laboratory for improving communication skills, science laboratory E-learning class, staff room, library, classrooms for all grades with benches, from donations by generous benefactors.


After their matriculation, interested students are encouraged and financially supported to pursue higher studies through private scholarships.

The school needs sufficient funds to provide them with wholesome food, books, stationery, uniforms, bed sheets, and Linan, which we try to provide, to maintain cleaner living standards.


We aim at providing education for the children of Adivasi families who have up to now never sent children to school.

We impart education, including Computer education  along with extracurricular activities like sports at the district and State levels, drawing competitions, cultural activities at District and State levels, Yoga,

The school needs sufficient funds to provide holistic education, basic amenities, and support for the first-generation Adivasi students, including nutritious meals, books, stationery, uniforms, and improved living standards. Funding is required to maintain and enhance facilities such as hostels, dining halls, computer labs, science labs, and classrooms. Financial assistance is also necessary to promote extracurricular activities and higher education opportunities for these students.

Provide holistic education to 450 students

  1. Infrastructure Maintenance: Ensure the proper maintenance of facilities such as well-maintained hostels for boys and girls with attached toilets, a multi-purpose dining hall, computer language laboratory, science laboratory, e-learning class, staff room, library, and classrooms for all grades.
  2. Scholarships: Identify talented and deserving students who wish to pursue higher studies and provide them with financial support through private scholarships, assisting them in accessing quality education beyond the matriculation level.
  3. Extracurricular Activities: Organize and facilitate extracurricular activities like sports competitions at the district and state levels, drawing competitions, cultural activities at district and state levels, shaman sessions, and yoga classes to promote the holistic development of the students.
  4. Computer Education: Implement a comprehensive computer education program to enhance the students' digital literacy and communication skills, ensuring they are equipped with essential technological skills for their future.
  5. Environmental Initiatives: Promote a clean and green environment by organizing tree planting drives, waste management programs, and educating students about sustainable practices.
  6. Hygiene and Health: Implement and maintain hygienic conditions within the school premises, including regular cleaning and sanitization routines, promoting personal hygiene practices among the students.
  7. Community Engagement: Collaborate with Adivasi families to create awareness about the importance of education and encourage them to send their children to school, fostering a supportive and inclusive educational environment.

Kushtarog Niwaran Samiti
Kushtarog Nivaran Samiti has committed 60 yrs & is celebrating diamond jubilee in 2013-14. The work of the samiti is spread over 185 villages in Panvel taluka covering a population of 4 lacs. Under the Central Govt. Programme of Survey, Education & Treatment (SET), more than 10,000 leprosy patients have been successfully treated and cured.
