Agra Literary Enrichment Project

Fostering Literary Creativity and Expression through Literature Workshops

Description

BPA  Foundation has carried out various social service and as well as literary projects in various parts of Northern India and is well recognized for its support to literary activities etc.


The instant project is related to the organization of workshops for students divided into two categories 

  1. From class 5 to10 
  2. From class 11 to Graduation 


The workshops will be organized for various aspects of literature including the following.

  • Inauguration and description of the scope and purposes for organizing the workshop,
  • Story writing 
  • Storytelling/Narrating
  • Short Story Writing
  • Poetry writing
  • Poetry recitation and presentation on digital as well as non-digital formats
  • Satire writing 
  • Writing of memoirs
  • Writing travelogue
  • Editing and proofreading
  • Publishing process 
  • Interviews and talks
  • Integrated conference/seminar

Further programs can be expanded and modified depending on the needs of beneficiaries and the feedback received. 


Target Beneficiaries 

The beneficiaries will be largely the students studying in the class from the 5th to the 10th standard, as well as the students studying in class from the 11th to the graduation final year.

In Agra, there are nearly 3200 schools, from basic to graduation, and a large number of students participate in such activities. This is so because Agra is also known for the development of Hindi literature, and the country’s Kendriya Hindi Sansthan is also located in Agra. 


Impact Benefit-

The project, comprising workshops of the two levels of students as briefly explained above is definitely to bring the following impacts

  1. The teenage student shall develop an interest in reading literature.
  2. The extension of the Hindi language to the growing age of students would be a greater achievement of the development of Hindi.
  3. The capabilities and brilliance of the students in developing ideas and expressions will be enhanced.
  4. The writing pattern, style, use of language, construction of sentences and paragraphs, maintaining the chronological sequence, etc. shall be learned by the students which will develop them as prospective Hindi Scholars and resources for Hindi-knowing youngsters in office government as well as non-governmental sectors, expanding social media, Bollywood and journalist industry. 
  5. Similar incidental benefits will also accrue to the spectators and attendees.  




Problem Statement

 Despite Agra's rich literary heritage, the lack of accessible literary workshops and opportunities has left students in Northern India without a platform for creative expression, hindering their development and growth in the field of Hindi literature.



Project Goal

This project will accomplish these additional goals

Cultivate Literary Creativity

The primary goal of this project is to inspire and train students from class 5 to graduation to express their thoughts through various forms of literature, fostering creativity and enhancing their reading and writing habits.

Another goal is to highlight the potential of young children to excel in literature, as demonstrated by a 6-year-old author.

This project aims to coincide with the Agra Book Fare in November 2023, which has a rich tradition of promoting literature in the city known for its education and tourism.

BPA Foundation “Trust” or “Foundation” was constituted as a Trust registered before the Sub-Registrar, Geeta colony Delhi, The Trust has its office at C-122, Sector-19, Noida-Gautam Budh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh- 201301 (the constitutional office is located at 116, Samachar Apartment Delhi- 110091). The Trust was founded by Dr. Sanjeev Kumar, a renowned corporate executive, literary scholar and Advocate at Supreme Court of India. The Trust is administered by a Board of Trustees consisting of Dr. Manorama (Managing Trustee), Advocate Kamini (Trustee) and Mrs. Ranjana Shukla (Trustee). The Trust/Foundation is duly registered under section 80G and Section 12A of the Income-tax Act, 1961, and the donors are eligible for reduction under the Income-tax Act, 1961.
