Construction of Student Hostel Facilities at Sri Aurobindo Divine Life Education Centre, Jhunjhunu

A CSR initiative to construct student residential hostels to provide a safe, disciplined, and spiritually nurturing environment for integral learning.

Description

The project aims to build modern student hostel facilities at Sri Aurobindo Divine Life Education Centre (SADLEC), Jhunjhunu, managed by Sri Aurobindo Divine Life Trust (SADLT).

The Centre imparts free, integral education to students, focusing on the physical, mental, and spiritual development of individuals.

Residential facilities are essential to SADLEC’s teaching philosophy, which integrates academics with discipline, community service, and inner growth.

Currently, the available hostel infrastructure is limited and cannot accommodate the growing student base. This project will construct dormitories, common rooms, and sanitation units to ensure a healthy and spiritually conducive residential atmosphere.

Students living in hostels participate in daily duties and collective activities that instill responsibility, discipline, and cooperation—key components of integral education.

The project seeks CSR funding of ?5.17 crores under Schedule VII (ii) – Promoting Education, contributing to SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 11 (Sustainable Communities).

By expanding hostel capacity, SADLEC will provide 24/7 learning and living conditions that help children grow in an atmosphere of purity, safety, and spiritual development, aligned with Sri Aurobindo’s vision of Divine Life on Earth.

Problem Statement

The current student hostel facilities at SADLEC are inadequate to accommodate the growing number of students seeking integral education. Overcrowding limits the ability to maintain a disciplined, clean, and spiritually uplifting environment. Lack of proper sanitation, ventilation, and dormitory space affects health and learning outcomes. The proposed hostel project will address these challenges by constructing new residential units that ensure safety, hygiene, and a balanced environment for learning and growth.

Project Goal

This project will accomplish these additional goals

To create safe, structured, and spiritually nurturing hostel facilities enabling students to live and learn within an atmosphere of purity, discipline, and collective growth.

Sri Aurobindo Divine Life Trust seeks CSR support of ?5.17 crores to construct student hostels at SADLEC, Jhunjhunu, providing safe, hygienic, and spiritually aligned residential spaces for holistic education.
